I am in cahoots with my pencil.

I am fascinated by the ability to simulate different textures and surfaces with only a simple pencil.  That I can cause the eye to see hard, soft, rough, smooth, glass, water, leather, wool, wood, flesh, hair amazes me.  To be able to create emotion,
change a frown to a smile just by moving my pencil constantly surprises me.  I need to see what more we can accomplish.  My pencil is my collaborator creating ofworld of our making.
